Absolutely loved our stay at Bunker Bay Resort – it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcomed. There’s a warmth to the way the staff go about their day – always smiling, always happy to help, and it really sets the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A special shoutout to Denise from the Food and Beverage team – she was simply outstanding. Denise went above and beyond to ensure all our dietary requirements were not only met but handled with genuine care and attention. It’s rare to come across someone so switched on and thoughtful – we truly appreciated it. The room was immaculate – clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. You can tell the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. If you’re after a place that delivers not just on location and comfort but also heartfelt hospitality, Bunker Bay is it. Already looking forward to our next stay in October.

This was an overrated resort - I can see it would have been great when first built but it hasn’t been maintained and we didn’t feel it felt like a five star hotel which is what we were expecting. We stayed for four nights and paid between $360-$470 per night - each night was a different rate. I compare it to other hotels at that price and this one did not compare. Most disappointing was the food at the hotel. Breakfast was very basic (lots of “variety” but very basic in terms of quality and standard). The outdoor area was nice overlooking the pool but so hot and barely any shade - they need more umbrellas. Room service menu and food was average. Dinner was average. Room service for a kids basic pasta took 30-40 minutes to receive. Plus you pay something like an $8 service fee for in room dining. Generally it was expensive for what you received. Unfortunately, the first night, we left food in the bin in the kitchen and some dirty cutlery in the kitchen sink and the next day we woke up to small ants everywhere, even in places where there was no food (like the bathroom). After that we were so conscious not to leave anything out and had to keep our bin outside. The staff were all very lovely and polite however it felt like they were a bit confused in the restaurant in particular. To get a coffee in the afternoon when it was quiet took 20-25 minutes. The location is a beautiful part of Australia and the beach there is lovely. A little away from other places but there is appreciation in that aspect. There was one really great staff member who on our first day went through all the sight seeing options around the hotel and they talked from first hand experience which was great to hear. The room was big, but again very basic. It has a small kitchen which might be useful for those who wish to cook- we didn’t. The furniture is outdated. Due to “bang for buck” I think we could find nicer elsewhere. Probably won’t return, and wouldn’t recommend at that price.

I recently enjoyed a stay at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort, and I can’t say enough about what a fantastic experience it was. The location is excellent, with an amazing beach right at your doorstep, and the resort itself is beautifully presented. The facilities are fantastic, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I especially want to highlight the wonderful staff, particularly Reece Lockwood and his team. Reece excels in his role as manager; he is understanding, approachable, and truly dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for guests. Jess Strother also stood out for her patience and politeness, making our stay even more enjoyable. It's clear that the resort values loyalty, as they are very generous with their most loyal Accor members. Reece Lockwood is a huge asset to the resort, and his leadership is evident in the overall quality of service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Had a beautiful relaxing mid winter stay. The two bedroom suite with breakfast included was spectacular. Food was top shelf, the staff all had a beautiful welcoming smile and ready to help start your day off in the best way possible. I would recommend a mid winter stay to recharge and reset.
